On the eve it became known that the head coach of the South African national football team, Gordon Igesund, temporarily dismissed 31 players from the team.
And all this on the eve of the qualifying matches of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Of course, Gordon Igesund has always been famous for his indomitable temper and has repeatedly surprised football fans with his cardinal changes in the starting line-up. But she never did this on the eve of important games.
“We all need changes and a good shake-up,” he said in a recent interview – “The team is playing very sluggishly and is completely not set up to win. In addition, the team needs fresh blood and is ready to give it.”
Fans of the South African national team reacted to the new team of Gordon Igesund with numerous comments on social networks. Someone supports the decision of the head coach, and someone considers it absurd. After all, there are absolutely no guarantees that the team will have time to play and get used to each other on the eve of an important match with Zimbabwe, which will take place on September 3.
So, for example, today it is already known that during the reshuffle in the team, such players as: Tulani Hlatshwayo, Temba Tsvane, Sifiso Hlanti, Eric Matoho, Itumeleng Khune and Thabo Sele were replaced.
In turn, Gordon Igesund named his first team Bafana Bafana ahead of the long-awaited qualifying tournament for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which starts next month.
